Enticed by insatiable curiosity, The Raven Brothers set out on a mission to circumnavigate the ancient Black Sea that has been the epicentre of human civilization for thousands of years.

In 2014, British travel writers, The Raven Brothers, set themselves the challenge of driving full circle around the Black Sea. Their journey took them through southern Ukraine and Russia, less than six months before the annexation of Crimea and the invasion of Donetsk. It is a region of the world that is currently a war zone, and their route for the time being is now impassable even to the most courageous traveller. The brothers get up close and personal with the intriguing people who live in the six nations that surround the vibrant Black Sea coast, and under the shadow of mounting tension in Ukraine. They travel through Crimea and the Caucasus region of southern Russia, living nomadic like the horse bowmen who once controlled the steppe grasslands. The brothers go deep into the Georgian kingdom of Colchis and Turkey’s Pontic Mountains, where they explore the Sumela Monastery, one of the oldest in the world, and hidden villages surrounded by tea plantations. Hugging the Black Sea Coast, they visit the megacity of Istanbul and complete their full circle journey in Romania at the outfall of the mighty River Danube.

Framing Life. The Raven Brothers from the United Kingdom launch their open-air exhibition on the bustling streets of India. The NO RUSH photography exhibition is the combined work of twin brothers from the UK. 50 prints taken over 20 years crossed India at the beginning of the year (2024), displaying the vibrant tapestry of life as seen through the eyes of two talented photographers.  "This one-of-a-kind exhibition aims to transform the world's public spaces into a gallery wall," Chris Raven told reporters on Monday. Simon Raven, fraternal twin brother and fellow photographer, stated. "We believe that the exhibition 'No Rush' is unique in its depiction of life slowed down in a fast-paced world.
